Social & screen time
Spotify in auracle.
Listening history, top tracks & artists from Spotify.
What does auracle read from Spotify?
auracle reads eight measurements from Spotify: what you played and when, how long you listened, and how varied the listening was. Listening is one of the few honest signals of mood a person generates without being asked to record anything.
- Plays
- individual plays, and the minutes attributed to each track
- Recent listening
- minutes and play count in the recent window, the number of distinct tracks and distinct artists in it, and how long that window was
- Top items
- your top tracks and artists over Spotify’s own time ranges
How do you connect Spotify?
link it from the auracle web dashboard.

Connecting anything requires an auracle account, and sign-ups are invite-only while the beta is small. Request beta access.
Does auracle know what genres you listen to?
No, and it is worth saying plainly because it used to be the obvious thing to expect. Spotify’s API stopped returning genre, popularity and follower data for artists, so there is nothing to read. auracle knows what you played and how much, not what bucket somebody filed it under.
What does auracle do with it?
It reads it, and once a morning it texts you on iMessage about what it noticed — one message, on the earliest credible sign your day has started. You can ask it anything in the same thread. It is wellness software: it does not diagnose, treat or dose, and when a question needs a clinician it says so.
Whatever it reads, you can take back. The export is one file per connected source, in that source’s own order, whenever you ask.
