What does auracle read from OpenStreetMap?

How often you map on OpenStreetMap — edits per day, never where. auracle keeps that alongside everything else you have connected, so a short night or a heavy week is read against the rest of your data rather than on its own.

It is filed under location, and it is one of 103 sources auracle can read today.

How do you connect OpenStreetMap?

link it from the auracle web dashboard.

Add your OpenStreetMap username. Auracle counts how many changesets and edits you make each day — never where you mapped, what you wrote in a changeset comment, or which places you touched. Your edit history is already public; this reads it the way anyone could, and gives Auracle no access to your account.

Your whole mapping history is walked back 100 changesets at a time, so the early years fill in over the first few hours. Only the daily counts are kept — no changeset locations, comments or tags.

Connecting anything requires an auracle account, and sign-ups are invite-only while the beta is small. Request beta access.

What does auracle do with it?

It reads it, and once a morning it texts you on iMessage about what it noticed — one message, on the earliest credible sign your day has started. You can ask it anything in the same thread. It is wellness software: it does not diagnose, treat or dose, and when a question needs a clinician it says so.

Whatever it reads, you can take back. The export is one file per connected source, in that source’s own order, whenever you ask.
